ELAINE 2.0
Objective
The aim of the project is to ensure that practitioners in the field of integration gain new knowledge, share experiences on integration practices and are inspired to find new solutions to integration challenges at both European and local levels.
Overall, the project will contribute to better integration of refugees and migrants at both European and local levels.
The ELAINE 2.0 project is a continuation of ELAINE (European Local Authorities Integration Network), which was implemented in 2015-17.
Activities
Five thematic meetings will be held with participants from all partner countries. The meetings will have the following themes:
- Unaccompanied refugee minors (October 2018, England)
- Gender dimensions on integration and migration (June 2019, Spain)
- Building sustainable and inclusive societies (February 2019, Austria)
- Innovative methods in vocational and language training targeting new arrivals (Date TBC, Germany)
- 1 + 1 = 3: Migration, cultural values and norms, and how do we create a new common 'we'? (October 2019, Denmark)
In addition, a final conference will be held in Brussels.

Financing
The project is supported by the ‘Europe for Citizens’ programme and will be implemented during the period 1 September 2018 – 31 August 2020.
