Challenges of the Region: Depopulation Control, Development – best practices (DeCoDe)
Objective
The objective of the project is to exchange strategies and good practices about depopulation issues and to discuss how rural areas can be made attractive.
Activities
Five transnational meetings are held, where the partners exchange experiences in working with their local challenges. The meetings consist of study tours, presentations and perspectives from local experts, and workshops. Each meeting has a theme:
- Introduction to “Challenges of Regional Centres: Depopulation Control, Development – best practices”
- The best practices to decrease depopulation with focus on economy
- Youth depopulation – what can be done?
- Best practices for depopulation control action plan – thematic meeting and workshop
- Final conference
The partner countries' experiences and good practices are collected in a small publication, which will be launched online with the aim of creating inspiration and passing on good development ideas across Europe.
