Nordlinjen
Objective
Project Nordlinjen is about being young in the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland and Denmark. The overall goal is to create greater awareness and greater insight into the community that the young people are part of.
Activities
Nordlinjen originates from the Nordens dage project. Nordlinjen is a learning course that 8 schools from each of the four countries participate in. The project is offered to the 7th and 8th grade. The course focuses on the lives of young people and their everyday life in a world where globalization is set on the agenda. The pupils will collaborate and show each other movies, share articles and video clips through the project's common platform. The common language in the project is Danish so there will also be intensive language training for those pupils who learn Danish as a foreign language at school.
Partnership
The project is implemented by VIFIN in cooperation with schools from the four countries. In addition, the following are part of the project: IT developer and consultant Barfuss Ruge from Greenland, consultant Stig Elttør from the Faroe Islands, researcher at the Institute of Learning in Nuuk, Anders Øgaard, and Hildur Hauksdóttir from Dansklærerforeningen in Iceland.
Financing
The project is supported by Nordplus, Qeqqqata Municipality in Greenland and Vejle Municipality.
