Vores Fællessprog
Objective
The project sought to digitalise the comparative grammar series ’Vores Fællessprog’ (Our Common Language), by presenting Danish grammar in, and in comparison with 10 languages: Turkish, Arab, Serbo-Croatian, Somali, English, French, Persian, Swahili, Vietnamese and Spanish.
Content
Vores Fællessprog was originally published by the Daghøjskole Silkeborg in 1993-94. The digital edition updates the paper version, with further pedagogical development. It comprises the ten languages with questions that test the students’ comprehension in these ten languages and with exercises in Danish. The underlying idea of enabling the user to read about the Danish grammar in his/her mother tongue, has been preserved. Furthermore, the digital material includes a teachers’ guide, a word list and a directory of grammar terms.
’Vores Fællessprog’ is designed for beginner and advanced levels.
Partnership
The project was implemented in partnership with the consulting firm, Bifrost
Funding
The project was funded by the Danish Ministry of Integration.
