Medics on the Move
Objective
Medics On the Move (MoM) aimed to provide medical professionals working abroad with linguistic tools that will help them function more effectively in the foreign language environment.
Activities
Relevant (authentic) and innovative e-learning content was developed, as well as a multi-layered training package (oral training, performance of isolated and contextualised terms, a vocabulary reference guide with lemmata as well as carrier phrases).
The e-learning platform was developed in a project from 2006 to 2008. Afterwards the second project, MoM II, updated the learning environment as well as created language learning opportunities for A1 level learners. MoM II was carried out from 2009 to 2011.
