Objective
The project used innovative advertising tools to promote the multilingual comprehension of Germanic languages (Danish, German, Norwegian, Swedish and Icelandic).
Specifically, the project aimed to:
- Promote language learning among the reluctant learners;
- Spread the awareness on the practical value of multilingual comprehension;
- Revitalize the interest in language learning among Europeans; and
- Enhance enrolment at language schools.
Activities
The project produced materials for local campaigns consisting of posters, stickers, postcards, and similar promotional materials with examples of multilingual comprehension in Germanic languages. These materials served as “sneak in lessons” that helped target groups see the similarities between their national language and the selected Germanic language.
