Coast Links

Objective

This project originated from the PAV project (supported by the EU’s Equal program). Included in PAV was the dissemination of experiences from the project in two transnational partnerships. 

One of these partnerships was Coast Links. The focus of the partnership was on the exchange of experiences, methods and strategies in relation to the integration of weak groups in the labor market.

Activities

Exchange of experience and best practice took place through staff exchanges and online conferences. The project produced two publications. The first presents some barriers to the integration of foreigners into the labor market in the partner countries. The other presents various examples of successful initiatives in the partner countries.

The partners in the project were:

• Province of Livorno Sviluppo, Italy
• Flüchtlingsrat Schleswig Holstein et al., Germany
• VIFIN, Denmark

Financing

The project was supported by the EU's Equal program and was implemented in 2003-2005.
