Language Screening for Vocational Schools


The project developed a tool that aims to test the proficiency in the Danish language of bilingual students enrolled in vocational schools.


The tool facilitates the creation of a profile of the individual learner that can be used to determine his/her further educational needs. The test has three modules, each containing understanding and reading tests, and oral and written tests.

VIFIN digitalized the existing paper-tests in cooperation with The Danish School of Education at University of Aarhus.

The project was funded by Fastholdelseskaravanen (administered by the Danish Ministry of Education) and was carried out for Uddannelsesforbundet, from 2009-2010.
