Digitale Børn (Digital Kids)

Objective

Digital Kids is a pilot project that tests the viability of using digital media in the context of day-care centers, focusing on improving the skills of child care givers, testing ideas, developing templates for progress, sharing of knowledge and experiences, and networking.

Activities

The project undertakes of a wide range of activities such as thematic workshops for day care centers in Vejle, development of educational methods (i.e., focus on the creative process, language, transition from day care to school), sharing of experiences and ideas via seminars and project website, building strategic cooperation and identifying IT policy for daycare centers

Partnership
The project is being implemented in partnership with:

• Dagtilbudsafdelingen(Day Care Department), Vejle Kommune
• Daginstitutionerne i Vejle Kommune (Day Care centers in Vejle Municipality)
• ReMida Jelling
• VIFIN

Funding

The project is financed by the Day Care Department at Vejle Muncipality and is being implemented in 2013-2014.
